James Kim
Ever since he landed is first bass in 2003, James has been "hooked" on bass fishing. A commercial photographer by trade, James utilizes his previous experience as a golf professional into his tournament bass fishing. Residing in Silver Spring, Maryland, he frequents the many local reservoirs in the surrounding area, in addition to competing on the Potomac river and Chesapeake Bay. Although James works hard on being versatile in all techniques, he prefers power fishing whenever conditions allow. In his first year competing as a non-boater, James came close to winning his first ever MBFN tournament on the Potomac River, and finished in the top 10 for that division in the Angler of the Year race. James credits much of his success to the advice and support he received from his fellow club members at BigDawg Bassmasters. Many of his photos also appear on the MBFN website.
